Cryosurgery is the use of extreme cold to destroy both benign and malignant lesions. This procedure involves repeated freezing and thawing of the affected area to remove the lesion. In most cases, cryosurgery can be performed without anesthesia and has very few side effects. It is most often used for skin tumors and precancerous lesions; it can also be used for eyelid tumors and fistulas. If you believe cryosurgery could benefit your pet, please schedule a consultation.
